Searcy legacy lives on
Not a day goes by that Terry Searcy doesn't think about his nephew, Cpl. J.R. Searcy, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's deputy who was shot in the line of duty in March.
Searcy died a few days later at St. Francis Medical Center.
Terry Searcy held back tears Tuesday as he talked about his nephew, who he says was like a son to him.
