Supporters of a proposed fine arts center want the Ouachita Parish School Board to consider using $10 million in federal stimulus dollars to build the facility.

Earlier this month, discussion of a proposed fine arts center resurfaced during a school board meeting.

The project has been on the drawing board for roughly 10 years, according to Mark Walker, coordinator of instrumental music at Ouachita Parish Schools.
