GDT garners Lantern Award
Gardner Denver Thomas was one of several businesses from across the state that received the 2010 Lantern Award Tuesday at a private reception at the Governor's Mansion.
The awards were given out by Louisiana Economic Development Corp. officials to honor businesses for their "excellence in manufacturing and community involvement."
Lantern Award winners were selected by the Regional Planning and Development Districts based on contributions to their local communities, including employment growth and facility expansion. Each business also was required to demonstrate sustainability by remaining in operation at least three years prior to the nomination.
