School board accepts turf field bid for WOHS
West Ouachita High School should have a new turf field in place at its football stadium by the start of 2010 season thanks to the Ouachita Parish School Board approving the $945,000 project Tuesday.
The school board accepted the low bid of Hellas Construction of Texas during its regular meeting.
The school board was set to accept bids for the project in May, but the board rejected all bids after one of the bidders pointed out an informality in bid specifications.
