St. Francis appoints Luffey as chairman

The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Board has appointed John L. Luffey Jr. to fill the vacant St. Francis Medical Center's Board of Directors Chairman position previously held by Dr. James E. Cofer Sr., former president of the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

"We were very fortunate to have Dr. Cofer on our board for the last four and a half years. His leadership this year as our Board Chair has been a tremendous asset to St. Francis," said Louis Bremer, President and CEO of St. Francis. "Our thanks go out to Dr. and Mrs. Cofer for their service to our hospital, our university and our community. We wish them well as they embark on their new journey at Missouri State University and look forward to our new journey with new leadership."
