Aldermen approve budget
The West Monroe Board of Aldermen officially adopted a $17 million budget for the 2010-2011 fiscal year at the board's regular meeting Tuesday night.
The 2010-2011 fiscal year begins July 1.
West Monroe anticipates ending the new fiscal year on a break-even note. The city currently has a $6.3 million accumulated fund balance. It expects to close out the 2010-2011 fiscal year with a roughly $5.5 million accumulated fund balance.
