Norris, board take oaths of office
Mayor Dave Norris and the five members of the West Monroe Board of Aldermen got a head start on beginning their new terms in office.
Tuesday evening prior to the board of aldermen's regular meeting, Norris and aldermen took their oaths of office at a small reception at West Monroe City Hall attended by family members and well-wishers. Their new terms begin July 1.
Norris was re-elected without opposition earlier this spring. All five members of the board of aldermen were re-elected in the face of token opposition.
