For Christians, every day should be Flag Day
Flag Day ... a day to show our flags in respect to the founding of the U.S. Army(1775). I plan to do just that ... along with many thousands of other Americans.
Now, it's fine and appropriate to let people see our flags in memory of the founding of our national army ... but it is even more important and appropriate that we show our flags as members of God's spiritual army ... His church.
First, of course, we have to "join His army". This is not done by "joining the church of our choice", as so many preachers and religious leaders say ... but by obeying the gospel of Christ and allowing him to add us to the church of His choice(See Acts 2:37-47 & Romans 6:1-18). Jesus taught that His disciples "show our flags" as salt of the earth and lights in a dark world. (Matt.5:13-16) .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition!
