Buckhorn Bend residents complain about traffic, trash
Several residents from the Green Acres/Buckhorn Bend area pleaded with the Ouachita Parish Police Jury Monday to remedy an ongoing trash problem in their neighborhoods.
Charles Hill, a local real estate developer who lives in the area, said residents have been dealing with trash problems for years. Residents also are concerned about the number of cars that park along Buckhorn Bend Road making it difficult for motorists to traverse the roadway.
According to Hill, people will park along Buckhorn Bend Road to fish in nearby waters.
Dollie Sweet, a longtime resident of the area, said she used to clean up trash and debris around the neighborhood.
