Jindal signs Hoffmann evaluation bill
State Rep. Frank Hoffmann's bill to use student performance as annual criteria in the evaluation and assessment of public school teachers was signed into law by Gov. Bobby Jindal late last week.
The bill was authored by Hoffmann, R-West Monroe, along with several other state representatives and senators.
Several amendments were added to the bill once it reached the Senate for discussion. Hoffmann believes those amendments helped strengthened the bill.
