Several changes may take place over the next two school years at some schools in eastern Ouachita Parish.

Ouachita Parish Schools personnel director Dr. Don Coker said the changes would result in sixth graders being moved from several elementary schools to middle schools.

For the 2010-2011 school year, the Ouachita Parish School Board proposed moving sixth graders to Ouachita Parish Junior High School. The junior high school currently has only seventh and eighth graders.
