As the 2010 calendar flips to summer, area high school football teams begin their summer workouts.

For underclassmen, summer offers the chance to shine in the weight room and in off-season conditioning drills so that they might earn more playing time during the fall. For seniors, the summer will be full of camps, recruiting stops and phone calls in addition to the conditioning drills that will prepare them for a great senior season on the field.

At West Monroe High School, several top stars graduated this year, but just as many seniors are garnering national recruiting interest from some of the nation's best programs.
