While Monroe police say burglaries in north Monroe have died down over the past week, Mayor Jamie Mayo called on citizens to remain vigilant against suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.

Maj. Don Bartley said there were no home burglaries reported at residents' homes over the past week.

"They could have moved on to another area, or it could pick back up tomorrow," Bartley said. "We just don't know."
