City mulls hiring consultant for sewer, water rates

The Monroe City Council will look into hiring a consultant to help determine future water and sewer rates for city residents.

City attorney Nanci Summersgill said she had talked to several rate consultants about the job.

Mayor Jamie Mayo must make a recommendation and the city council would need to give final approval on hiring a consultant.
