CTC students receive scholarships

Nine local seniors will receive $1,000 each to help pay for their education at Career Technical College in Monroe.

The students were chosen based on educational excellence and their commitment to community involvement, according to Cheryl Lokey, campus director for Monroe's Career Technical College.

The Class of 2010 scholarship recipients include Chelsey Bunch of Mangham High School, Kristen Erskine of Oak Grove High School, Jessica Jones of Downsville High School, Patricia Marshall of Tensas Parish High School, Curtis Miles of Wossman High School, Brooke Morace of Franklin Parish High School, Memory Swindle of Oak Groove High School, Hillary Sikes of West Ouachita High School and Jordan Wise of West Monroe High School.
