OPSO gears up for C.S.I. summer camp

Beginning next month, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office will offer a two-day summer Crime Scene Investigation camp for local youth.

For the past three summers, the sheriff's office, along with the Monroe Police Department and the West Monroe Police Department, facilitated a one-week cadet academy for local youth.

Last year, Ouachita Parish Sheriff Royce Toney wanted to do something extra for local youth who had shown an interest in learning about police investigations, according to OPSO's Marky Tucker.
