Special week for area
by Martha Jane Anderson - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
What a special week for Monroe-West Monroyans! ULM graduates the largest spring class in history ... 757 WOW! Our outstanding first family, Deborah and Jim Cofer, are moving on to Springfield, Mo., where they will lead 22,000 students on three campuses.

Daily, it is a pleasure to drive through our beautiful campus, over the most scenic bayou, with restored buildings and new housing facilities that are second to none. Our thanks and deep gratitude will forever remain in our hearts as we consider the Cofers' tenure and their accomplishments while in Monroe.

Students who knew the Cofers shall never forget that students were indeed considered "first" at ULM. Godspeed Deborah and Jim!
