Anglers from all over the state converged on the Ouachita River, Lake D'Arbonne, and Turkey Creek last weekend for the annual Ronald McDonald Big Bass Tournament.

More than 650 tournament participants landed 411 fish during the two-day event: 189 fish from Turkey Creek, 145 from Lake D'Arbonne and 77 from the Ouachita River.

Boyd Garrett won the championship by catching the largest bass when he fished the Ouachita River and landed a 7.69-pound bass.
