Parish lands funding for drainage project Ouachita Parish is set to receive some $129,000 in state funding to craft a comprehensive drainage plan to help alleviate flooding concerns throughout the parish.
News of the funding was announced Monday night at the Ouachita Parish Police Jury's regular meeting.
In March, the police jury requested $129,000 from the state's comprehensive resiliency program to aid in the development of a plan to alleviate flooding during future storm events. The comprehensive plan would mainly address drainage improvements to tributaries of the Ouachita River. For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
