Crusaders continue playoff run
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
For over five innings, it looked like No. 1 Claiborne Christian School and No. 8 Elizabeth High School would stay deadlocked at 0-0 all night long.

The long-time Class C baseball rivals met in the LHSAA Class C quarterfinals in West Monroe last Friday to determine who would move on to Alexandria this weekend to play in the Class C state tournament.

With one swing of the bat, Jesse Butler made sure it was going to be the Crusaders. Butler scored on a two-run, inside-the-park home run that put the Crusaders ahead 2-0 with he and Kip Robinson scoring.
