The No. 3 West Ouachita Chiefs saw their season come to an end in the LHSAA Class 4A quarterfinals on Monday evening following a 7-2 loss to No. 11 Teurlings Catholic School. The Chiefs and their seven seniors end the 2010 season with a 31-6 record and a district 3-4A championship.

T.J. Murphy (9-2) took the loss on the mound for the Chiefs, who used three different pitchers late in the game to try and stop the onslaught of hits and runs being put up by Teurlings.

Murphy gave up four runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking just one batter. Mark Hatten, the top hitter and pitcher for the Chiefs this season, relieved Murphy in the fifth inning.
