Anglers seek 'Big Bass' prize

The waters of the Ouachita River, Lake D'Arbonne and Turkey Creek will be full of eager anglers this weekend when the Big Bass Tournament returns on Saturday and Sunday.

The two-day event benefits the Ronald McDonald House in Monroe each May. The event is in its 19th year and has become one of the top area fishing tournaments.

James Jones of Calhoun hooked the winning fish last year when he landed a 6.38-pound bass.
