Crusaders roll on The Claiborne Christian School Crusaders (15-12) held up their top ranking in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class C baseball playoffs on Tuesday by blowing past No. 16 Grand Isle High School, 13-0.
The five-inning clinic by the Crusaders showed a CCS team that is poised to once again compete for a Class C state championship.
The Crusaders now host No. 8 Elizabeth High School in the quarterfinals. The winner will earn a spot in the upcoming state tournament at Binghurst Field in Alexandria. For the full report, see Page 2B of this week's Citizen.
