West Ouachita advances with playoff win
The West Ouachita Chiefs (31-5) will advance to play in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 4A quarterfinals after a 4-2 win over Morgan City on Tuesday night.
The Chiefs will host either Teurlings or Cecilia in the next round of the playoffs.
Mark Hatten (8-3) improved his record as a pitcher this season with a masterful two-run complete game that saw the Chiefs defense continue to make spectacular plays.
