Local football stars move to next level
The 2010 NFL Draft is in the books and several local talents had to wait until after the seven-round affair to get an offer from the professional ranks while others heard their name called out live on national television.
ULM defensive stars Cardia Jackson and Aaron Morgan each signed free agent contracts Monday to play at the next level.
Jackson, a local product of Wossman High School, signed with the NFC West's St. Louis Rams. Jackson led ULM in tackles to past two years and was the Sun Belt Conference leader in tackles with 117 tackles, including 71 solo stops. Jackson leaves the area as the Sun Belt Conference's all-time tackle leader with 381 career stops.
