Sterlington begins 2A bracket
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Sterlington Panthers won their last four regular season baseball games and now await their fate in the upcoming Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 2A baseball playoffs.

One thing is for certain though: the district 2-2A champions who also were Class 2A runner-up to Evangel Christian Academy last season will host a first-round playoff home tilt this week.
Sterlington currently stands at No. 7 in the latest power ranking projections for Class 2A.

The Panthers have a 23.29 average and top-seed St. Charles has a 26.94 mark. Defending state champion Evangel Christian Academy is currently No. 2 with a 26.77 power point total.
Sterlington hosted and lost to some of the top 2A teams during a tournament in the month of March.
