WMHS lands 'signature' designation

West Monroe High School was named the first school in northeastern Louisiana and only the third school in the state to be designated a law signature school by Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education.

The announcement was made Friday at WMHS during a ceremony featuring local and state officials.

Rep. Frank Hoffmann, R-West Monroe, read a resolution commending the school for the designation.
