Calhoun student wins scholarship
Calhoun resident Amber Byrd is one of 25 students throughout the country who will receive Chick-fil-A's 2010 S. Truett Cathy Scholarship Award.
She was selected from 1,400 candidates to receive the award, which is named after the restaurant's founder.
David Benson, franchised operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant in West Monroe, presented Byrd with her award on April 27.
