Today is Earth Day. We saw mentions about it for several days.

A special day for Earth Day began April 22, 1970, and has continued through the years to emphasize a very real and serious need for us to care for the earth on which we live. Commenting on the beginning of Earth Day, then-Sen. Gaylord Nelson wrote the following.
