Special to the Citizen

Old traditions meet a new venue for the Cancer Foundation League's annual gala.
This year's event will be ushered in with an exciting new theme, "Run for the Roses!" The theme is a play off of the Kentucky Derby, which many know as, "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports."

CFL will roll out the red carpet and be off to the races for this year's event which will have all the usual traditions that play into the entire Kentucky Derby atmosphere, from the fashionable hats to the mint juleps.

'Run for the Roses'
Join us at the Cancer Foundation League's crown jewel of events, "Run for the Roses," May 1, 2010, at the Monroe Civic Center. It is a safe bet to be the hottest ticket in town with silent and live auction, elegant food, live entertainment, and let's not forget the race.
