Students from the West Ouachita High School Drama Team and West Monroe High School Drama Team recently performed in a theatre festival at West Ouachita High.

Under the direction of Mrs. Karen Pittman, West Ouachita performers will travel for the third year to the State Literary Rally competition in Baton Rouge.

The drama members performed Serenity by Rickey Pittman, a play about a "normal" teen, struggling with the typical problems of society — school, homelife, friendship, drugs, death and making sense of it all. Dr. Paul Crook from Louisiana Tech spent several hours with the drama members and qualified them to travel on to LSU.
