The Benjamin Tennille Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution met recently at the Chateau Restaurant in Monroe.

Twenty-two people attended the meeting. Featured guest speakers were John C. Stringer, executive director of the Tensas Basin Levee District and Harris Brown, president of the Tensas Basin Levee District. Their topic was "Our Levee System."

SAR president Fred Huenefeld brought the meeting to order with a call to prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and the SAR pledge.
