Ouachita searches for new head Lion

For the first time in almost a decade, the Ouachita Parish High School boys basketball program is without a leader.

Casey Jones, head coach of the Lions for the past nine seasons, announced last Wednesday that he would be leaving the area to take over the boys basketball program at Longview High School in Longview, Texas.

"We are looking for someone who is a good fit," Ouachita High School principal Todd Guice said. "We won't try to compare anyone to Casey (Jones) because that would not be fair."
Guice said it was a difficult day last week when Jones announced his decision to leave the school.
