Lady Panthers prep for Ouachita rivalry game The Sterlington Lady Panthers (18-7-1, 6-0 district 2-2A) completed a clean sweep of district 2-2A on Tuesday night and now host the Ouachita Lady Lions on Saturday afternoon.
Sterlington blasted past the Mangham Lady Dragons 12-2 for their second consecutive district crown. The Panthers were paced by Sarah Gandy. The freshman gave up just two runs on five hits over five innings on the mound while also hitting a double at the plate.
Caitlin Dupree also hit a double for Sterlington while Taylor Hollin and Sarah Wood recorded triples for the Lady Panthers. Elaina McDonald and Haley McKay recorded doubles for Mangham, their only extra-base hits of the evening. For the full report, see Page 3B of this week's Citizen.
