WOHS, Ruston start series
The West Ouachita Chiefs (20-5, 5-1 district 3-4A) will begin a three-game district series with the Ruston Bearcats at 6 p.m. Thursday at West Ouachita High School.
The Chiefs, who have won seven of their last eight games, have been an offensive juggarnaut the last two weeks, averaging 12.6 runs per game during the streak.
West Ouachita is currently ranked No. 1 in the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A poll.
