United Way recognizes 2009 contributors The United Way of Northeast Louisiana raised more than $3 million during its most recent community fundraising campaign.
The organization held its "Celebrating Excellence" awards reception recently where it honored outstanding employee campaigns and people who participated in them for their efforts in 2009.
Annmarie Sartor, 2009 campaign chairperson, attributed the success to local businesses and their employees, local residents who contributed through United Way's leadership societies and efforts made by campaign volunteers. For the full report and a photo, see Page 8A of this week's Citizen.
