1956 first-graders honor teacher Recently on a chilly Saturday morning. several girls of the 1956 first-grade class of Mrs. Peggy Ford at Claiborne Elementary School held a reunion brunch in the home of Kay McEnery Rigal.
Attending were Linda Rankin Irby of Madison, Miss.; Ann Miller, of North Richland Hills, Texas; Sandra Nash Smith of Dallas, Texas; Ellen Norris Prather of Calhoun; Ann Shields Senn of West Monroe; and Kay McEnery Rigal of Calhoun.
The brunch menu featured sunshine punch, breakfast casserole, pastries, sweet breads and tarts as well as coffee and tea. Brunch was served on blue willow china with a white tablecloth, blue placemats and napkins with blue 4x6 framed place cards as favors to be used to frame the reunion picture taken to mark the occasion.
