Tigers, Chiefs battle in 3-4A tilt

The West Ouachita Chiefs (17-4) will put their five-game win streak on the line Friday when they face the Neville Tigers in the first of three games between the local rivals this weekend.

West Ouachita has been one of the top teams in the state this season, winning 15 out of their last 17 contests. The Chiefs are currently ranked fourth in the Louisiana Baseball Coach's Association Class 4A polls.

West Ouachita has outscored opponents by an average of 10.75 runs per game — an average of 14 runs per game for the Chiefs while allowing only 3.25 runs per contest.
West Ouachita has done their most damage in district 3-4A play.
