Ouachita Parish High School announced Wednesday that boys basketball coach Casey Jones has left the school to become head coach at Longview High School in Texas. During his nine-year tenure as head coach, Coach Jones has compiled an overall record of 281-67, an .807 overall winning percentage. His 2009 and 2010 teams recorded a combined record of 69-11 while winning the 2009 Class 5A State Championship.

Under Jones' leadership, the Ouachita basketball program maintained its status as one of the premiere programs in the state of Louisiana, winning nine straight district championships, including two Top 28 Tournament berths.
