The West Monroe Lady Rebels (20-5, 5-0 district 2-5A) will return to the softball field on Thursday at 6 p.m. when they head to Pineville High School for a district 2-5A showdown.
West Monroe is coming off a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Natchitoches Central Lady Chiefs on Tuesday.

The Lady Rebels found themselves trailing for the first time since losing to Hahnville High School 3-2 on March 20. The win also marked the 306th career win for head coach Amy Daigle. Daigle has a career mark of 306-116-12 over 15 seasons.

Daigle won a state title at WMHS in 1999 and has taken the Lady Rebels to six state tournaments.
