WM boxers win golden gloves
A pair of local fighters from the West Monroe Boxing Club took home state championships from the Louisiana State Golden Gloves Tournament in Lafayette last week.
Jay D. Williams, 16, of West Monroe defeated Tremain Jones of Lafayette to win the 165lb. championship in his age group.
Williams stayed in control throughout the match and made the most of his hard work inside the gym on North 7th Street.
