Habitat hopes cans will help build homes
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Habitat for Humanity is collecting aluminum cans to help build more homes in Ouachita Parish for local residents in need.

Habitat for Humanity is an international Christian organization dedicated to building "simple, decent and affordable" housing. Homes are built using volunteer labor and sold at no profit.

According to Larry Head with Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita Parish, people can drop off aluminum cans at various locations.
For the full report and to find out where collection bins are located, see Page 7A of this week's Citizen.
