Salisbury wins humanitarian award
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Ad Club of Northeast Louisiana recently recognized Monroe native Nan Salisbury for her contributions to the community with the Kitty DeGree Humanitarian Award.

The award was established four years ago to recognize DeGree for her generous philanthropic contributions to the community and to continue the recognition of others who closely exemplify the philanthropic philosophy of DeGree.

Salisbury is best known for her involvement as the executive director of the Silver Waters Girl Scouts Council from 1974-2002. She has many accomplishments to her credit and as Kitty DeGree stated, "There just isn't another Nan."
