WMHS starts district at Pineville The West Monroe Rebels will begin district play this weekend as they travel to Pineville to battle the Pineville High School Rebels at noon.
The Rebels (8-10) have been up and down so far, sporting a 9-10 record on the season. West Monroe went 2-2 in the Chevron-Ouachita Baseball Tournament this past week.
The Dutchtown Griffins, a top team from the Baton Rouge 5A district, downed the Rebels in the opening game of the tournament, 11-7. For the full report, see Page 2B of this week's Citizen.
