Money woes await state lawmakers

Local lawmakers know they have a daunting task ahead of them beginning next week when the Legislature convenes for the 2010 regular session.

The regular session, which will deal solely with fiscal matters, begins Monday.

Sen. Mike Walsworth believes this year's regular session will be tougher than last year's in light of a lean budget Gov. Bobby Jindal proposed that the Legislature approve for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, which begins July 1.
