|GAC cleanup events coming up|
Several events are planned throughout Ouachita Parish for the Great American Cleanup, which will be held Saturday, March 27.
Cleanup events are also scheduled all across Ouachita Parish, Monroe and West Monroe through May 31.
Participating groups may organize a community cleanup activity, including school and church campuses, business locations, park and recreation centers, and area neighborhoods.
All registered groups/organizations will be provided with trash bags for litter collection.
Beautification groups are looking for participants from area churches, schools, local businesses, clubs and organizations, law enforcement, fire department, city employees, elected officials, media groups, non-profit groups, families and concerned citizens from Monroe, West Monroe, Calhoun, Swartz, Woodlawn, Bawcomville, Sterlington, and Richwood.
Groups can register and receive area assignments and litter collection supplies at the Great American Cleanup Event on Saturday, March 27, at the following locations:
Ouachita Parish — 8 a.m.-noon. Meeting at various locations throughout the parish

Monroe — 9 a.m.-noon. Meet at Monroe City Hall at 9 a.m.
