W. Ouachita dominating competition
The West Ouachita Chiefs (12-2) will host the West Monroe Rebels (5-7) to conclude their two-game series today, March 18, at 6 p.m.
West Ouachita has won 10 games in a row coming into the contest. St. Michael of Baton Rouge defeated the Chiefs 8-7 on Feb. 28 — the last loss on the diamond for West Ouachita.
The Chiefs are currently ranked No. 4 in the latest Louisiana Coaches poll for Class 4A.
West Monroe went 1-2 in the Barbe Buccaneer Classic last weekend in Lake Charles.
The Rebels lost their first game to host Barbe, 7-4. Barbe is currently ranked No. 2 in the Class 5A polls.
