Lead, follow or get out of the way

"Lead, follow, or get out of the way." I read that somewhere and I like it. I see an improvement we might suggest, "Lead, follow or repent…and if you will not repent, then get of the way."

The Lord evidently feels the same way, He inspired  John to speak of some who were not what they should be…I John 2:19"…they went out from us,  but they did not really belong to us.  For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us…" 

Then, to some indifferent brethren he said, "I know your deed, that you are neither hot nor cold.  I wish you were either one of the other?  So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth."
