I read an article recently about a lady that had called her sister and asked her to go to lunch but was denied. This was not the only time this happened because she had called her sister many times and heard the same old excuses.

Her sister would reply and say, "I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, it looks like rain!"

How many times have we done the same thing to someone who has asked us to go somewhere or do something with them and we have passed the opportunity because we thought we were too busy and couldn't take the time to break away? All of us are guilty of this.
