Reed, Arrant exchange vows Katie Suzanne Reed of Birmingham, Ala., and Andrew Emmett Arrant of Durham, N.C., exchanged the vows of marriage Dec. 5, 2009, at Palisades Church of Christ in Birmingham, Ala. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the father of the groom, Minister Travis L. Arrant.
Katie is the daughter of Pam and Bobby McCullough and Michael Reed, all of Birmingham. She is the granddaughter of Judy and Bill Ingram of Montevallo, Ala., and Jerry and Geneva Reed of Ragland, Ala. She graduated from Minor High School in Birmingham and from the University of Montevallo with a degree in elementary education. She is employed with the Durham County School Board.
Andrew is the son of Travis and Karen Arrant of West Monroe. His grandparents are Jeanette Rolen of West Monroe, the late Eugene Rolen, Bobbie Arrant of West Monroe and the late J.B. Arrant. The groom graduated from West Ouachita High School and the University of Louisiana-Monroe with a degree in toxicology. He is currently working on his PhD in pharmacology at Duke University.
